* REQUIRED READING FOR THE “WOMEN: WHY MARRIAGE?” LUNCHEON
Ok, not required, but it is strongly suggested/requested that you read this
article before attending the Women: WHY Marriage?! Luncheon on Thurs at
Smart Marriages. The article, I Don’t: The Case Against Marriage in
Newsweek June, 11, 2010 by two (late 20s/early 30s) women maintains that
there are no
longer any rational reasons for women to marry: http://tinyurl.com/2des6j2
Pat Love, Nisa Muhammad, Helen LaKelly Hunt, and Patty
Howell will shoot this one down at the luncheon – but they’d like you to be
on the same opening page.
To add a registration for the luncheon, just reply to this list and be sure
to include your name and say you want to add a Thurs luncheon ticket ($26)

- CONTINUING CONFUSION ABOUT THE BANQUET
So many callers – especially those not on this list – still think the Friday
Night Banquet is for men only.
It’s NOT......women will love it. Guaranteed. Practitioners/Marriage
Initiative folks/Church-ministry folks/Military folks will all love the new
model. Becoming Better Husbands – by Bill Doherty. To add a ticket ($39
which is the price of the 3-course dinner) just hit reply and give your name
and say you want to add tickets. - diane

- ADDING EXHIBITS
We just added two new exhibits today......there’s still room if any of you
are interested. And, here’s an unsolicited testimonial that just came in
from an Exhibitor about why she’s excited about Exhibiting for the first
time. Find Exhibit application here:

Hi Diane,
Just want you to know that your choosing to return to the Single Creek was
one of my deciding factors to have a booth for the first time at the Smart
Marriages Conference. The hotel is the greatest and nicest one I've ever
visited. And I love the layout for the Exhibits – it's so easily accessible
and you can't help but walk through the exhibits several times a day. Can’t
wait.

- BADGES
I should have suggested that you please read the letters enclosed with the
Badges BEFORE you start calling with questions. I just had a panicked
caller who said the John Gray Sat Night event was not on her badge and she
was sure she’d registered for it because it was one of the main reasons she
was coming – she hopes to get him to autograph all his books.
I assured her she’ll be fine - John loves to sign books AND she can get to
the Saturday Night event early and sit right up front, because, she IS
registered for that event – as it says in the letter, plenary/keynote
sessions appear do NOT on the badges. The ticket numbers on the badges are
for Institutes and workshop sessions (and for the Thursday Luncheon “Why
Marriage?” and the Friday Night Banquet keynote by Bill Doherty if you
ordered them.)
If you registered before June 11th and have not received your badge by
Thursday June 24, let us know. Email is fine: info at Rcassidy.com or
diane at smartmarriages.com
If you registered after June 11th, sit tight – a second badge mailing will
go out on June 27th.
BADGE LETTERS
If you’d like to get a head start and read the Badge Letter or download the
Room Locators and begin to plan your schedule & Route, you can do that here:

- ADD BANQUET, LUNCH, INSTITUTES, a SPOUSE REGISTRATION
As you can see in the Badge Letter, you can add Institutes, Banquet, Lunch
tickets to your registration. Ditto for a spouse registration – and if you
registered at the Early-Bird rate, you can still add your spouse at the
early spouse rate – only $265 for the whole conference that includes 24
keynotes, 3 lunches, the Gary Chapman, John Gray, and Comedy Club evening
events, and 7 ninety-minute workshops (choose from 140).
Just email your additions. - diane
