- OBAMA BUDGET AND MARRIAGE MONEY: TAH DAH (I THINK.....)

President Obama's Budget was delivered to Congress today.  I've had several
calls asking if I know if the Marriage money was slated for elimination.  It
looks like it's safe for the coming fiscal year - of course, I may be
reading it wrong, but go here to the budget appendix:

Scroll down and open the Dept of Health and Human Services and look at the
top of p32 (of 52 pages) - the TANF funding.  It appears that the 150million
a year will be carried forward. Tah Dah - I think.

If anyone finds more certainty, please send to share with the list - many of

I'm told some of you have been told we're out of brochures.  Not true.  I
still have about 300 in my basement.  Let me know if you need extras.  My
goal is to run out of them soon.  - diane

- WHICH TOOBS?

#420 is about the responsibility of and benefits to businesses to teach
marriage education/marriage strengthening programs to their work force.
They might touch on the high incidence of infidelity in the workplace, but I
can guarantee that workplace infidelity will be thoroughly covered by Dave
Carder in his keynote CLOSE CALLS - and in any session he presents.
Carder's Close Calls book give wonderful guidelines for helping people avoid
falling off that particular cliff - close calls in the workplace, at church,
and other most likely occasions.  As will ALL the infidelity sessions - like
the BAN Network by the Berchts who will talk about his affair with a
co-worker.
