- BLACK MARRIAGE DAY CONFERENCE IN DC

DC celebrates Black Marriage Day with a conference Friday March 20, at
Howard University called Healthy Marriages, Strengthening
Communities.  Roland Warren of the National Fatherhood Initiative will
give the morning plenary, Dr. Maria Kefalas author of Why Poor Women
Choose Motherhood Over Marriage will be the luncheon guest speaker.
There will be workshops, an afternoon reception and the Washington, DC
debut of the play Jump the Broom.  Registration is only $100.  For
