- PERFUME AND AFTER-SHAVE SENSITIVITIES

Diane,
  I've read the comments about the distraction in sessions of small children
and laptop noise.  May I go in another direction?  Over the years I have
developed severe asthma.  People wearing after-shave and perfume send me
into an asthma attack.  Is it possible to put up signs stating that there
are people attending that are allergic to perfumes and aftershave ­ please
be considerate - go easy on these.  I'm quite sure I am not the only one
with this sensitivity.

I agree, it's annoying, but in your case sounds like it's much worse than
annoying.  I'll share this with the list. Lighten your suitcase, leave this
stuff at home.  - diane

This one sounds like it was written by Michele Weiner-Davis when she says
you know how - exactly how - to push your partners negative buttons.  It's a
very hopeful sign when reporters *get it* and write excellent pieces like
this - if enough of them come to understand why marriage succeeds or fail
and become Divorce Busters we can all retire.   - diane
