- ONLINE MARRIAGE EDUCATION LOOKING FOR RECRUITING PARTNERS

Diane, 
The list might be interested in the latest Power of Two product -- live
online marriage skills workshops.  The technology is amazing.  Couples are
telling us our online sessions are "better than in-person" workshops - a
marriage education class couples can do together in their bathrobes.

We are looking for a few organizations to partner with us in getting the
word out.  We'll do the enrolling, teaching, billing, follow-up etc. 
Partners would recruit and we would pay partners $50 for every couple they
enroll in a workshop - a nice way for small coalitions to 1) serve more
people and 2) bring in revenue to support their efforts.

- NATIONAL MARRIAGE PROJECT??

Diane, 
I heard from a colleague who was in Orlando that David Popenoe and Barbara
Whitehead are stepping down as directors of the National Marriage Project.
She was quite convinced, but I hope she was misinformed. This would be a
terrible loss. I went to the Marriage Project website and it looks like
everything is fine. Do you have any clarification?  I hear the conference
was the best ever and it was my huge loss not to make it.  I will be there
next year.  I was busy marrying off my youngest son.

Your colleague heard right.  Barbara Dafoe Whitehead announced at her
keynote "Generosity and Thrift" that they have found a new home for The
National Marriage Project.  I can't remember when the transition takes
place, but I think it's this year.  It will be housed at the University of
Virginia,  directed by Brad Wilcox.  I'll check on transition date and share
that info when I get it.  - diane
