- CNN: INCREDIBLE PEOPLE-REACHING MACHINE

You may wonder why I've not sent anything to the list this week except
notices about CNN's Black in America 2 show. That's because CNN is a
*people-reaching machine* -and advance promos and article posted on CNN have
kept me and Nisa Muhammad busy. Couples are already looking for classes and
the show hasn't even aired. Those of you that saw the CNN clips at the
Orlando Smart Marriages Conference, realize how powerful the show is going
to be and what we can expect on July 24th!  That's two days: Thurs July 23,
8pm.  Get ready!

I've urged you to ride this wave by sending press releases to your local
media.  I also urge you to send your program listing to Smart Marriages.
Each program listing includes a link back to your site.

Nisa is getting calls from people of ALL ethnicities who ask why her
Marriage Education courses are only for Black couples - they say they NEED a
class, too.  She tells them that it's NOT just for Black couples, that her
Basic Training programs works for everyone - when the course is taught on
military bases or in community settings whites, Asians, Hispanics, etc all
love the classes and get the same great results.

She's also telling them that there are MANY other Marriage Education
Programs and is sending them to Smart Marriages to find a class, or
trainings.

GET LISTED!  

List your classes.  List your trainings.  List a link to your state or
Community Marriage Initiative.

BASIC TRAINING FOR COUPLES: This is a TOOB (a teach our of the box program)
but training is also a great advantage - it helps to have an in person
training with the program founders/creators.  The next opportunity to get
trained as an instructor in Basic Training for Couples will be Sept 11/12 in
Atlanta sponsored by the Georgia Family Council.  Call Joyce Whitted for

Nisa is adding a training in DC in October.  I'll send details when
available.
