- CALLING ALL FLORIDIANS: MEET IN ORLANDO SAT MARCH 21

I'll be in Orlando Saturday March 21 and I hope you can join me at the
Shingle Creek Resort Sat, March 21, 1-4pm for a pre-conference planning
meeting.

We'll talk about how you can make the most of the fact that the Smart
Marriages conference is coming to Florida - and how you can use this
national conference to advance your own marriage-strengthening work. You
will also get a big head start on networking ­ meet colleagues who share
your mission.  And, you can ask your questions about the Coalition
(CMFCE/Smart Marriages) and learn about the new Strong Marriages Florida
campaign from director John Stemberger and about the Fireproof Marriage
Ministry Initiative from co-director Richard Albertson.

We want to be sure you are familiar with the conference agenda so you can
help others understand what¹s coming.  The week-long event (July Mon July 6
- Sun July 12) will gather the Who's Who of the Marriage and Relationship
field and offers training for professionals but it's also important that you
invite the public - the public can attend any or all of it - the 11
plenary/keynotes, 25 pre and post conference intensive trainings, 140+
breakout sessions, exhibits, film festival, roundtables, & banquets.  You
also need to understand about the registration discounts and the FREE
Fireproof Marriage Institutes.

It's a wide open meeting - everyone is welcome. Bring friends, colleagues,
policy makers, journalists - and ideas.  Only a fraction of the people that
might want to attend read this list, so please spread the word.  If you
don't live in Florida, but know folks that do, let them know about the
meeting - and the Conference.  And non-Floridians are warmly welcome.  It's
almost impossible during the actual conference to sit down and get to know
each other ­ this is a special time to do that.

- BROCHURES ARE SHIPPING TODAY!

Over 100,000 will go in the mail today. I haven't seen them yet - only the
online version.   We're trying different paper and larger font this
year...... I sure hope we like them.

As the brochures arrive in people's mail boxes, the $115 Single/Double
discount rooms will sell out fast.   If you don't have your reservation,
call today - 866-996-6338.  Ask for the Smart Marriages rate. Let me know if
you have any problems with the hotel.  I also suggest you reserve your
rental car at the discount - those also sell out and we're right on the tail
of the July 4th holiday.  I made my rental car reservation today.  I'm

Also, a brochure handed out by an enthusiastic coalition member has MANY
times more impact than a brochure "cold mailed" to our purchased lists.
