- CONFERENCE QUESTIONS

The conference badges have landed, which always leads to questions.  I'll
share the answers with the list as I know when one asks, many wonder. Please
read the badge mailing letter.  Most of the questions being asked are
answered in that letter....like, what to wear to the badges and how to add a
training Institute.  And, no it's not too late....you can still add
Institutes.   - diane

- ADDING A SESSION AND JOHN GRAY TICKET

> LeAnna Benn received her badge with the classes she will be attending. We

> oversight. Can she still sign up for that class? The number is #318. Also, I

You'll notice that there are NO Ticket numbers on the badges for ANY of the
Plenary/Keynote sessions, including John Gray's Sat Nigh Live.  Your badge
itself is your ticket.  You need a "ticket number" on your badge ONLY for
the banquets, Institutes, and workshops.

LeAnna is registered for Thursday, so she can go "stand by" for session
#318. She should go to the breakout room and ask the Door Monitors if there
is space.  She is likely to be admitted. Otherwise she can attend any of the
300 series sessions that are located in the Continental, Imperial, or Plaza
ballrooms - there are seven OPEN sessions from which to choose in each time
frame. - diane

Spouse badges were mailed one day AFTER the regular badges.  Be reassured
that they're on their way.

- BULLETIN BOARDS - EVENTS/MEETINGS

Another question I'm getting is about adding gatherings, meetings and sack
lunches.  AT THIS POINT, if you decide to hold a gathering just pick a quiet
corner or meet in a coffee shop, etc. and announce your meeting on the
bulletin boards. There are MANY extra Networking events including the
Morning Roundtables; Thurs Networking Meetings; Fri TalkAbouts; Sack
Lunches; 1% Solution pow-wows; Movie Screenings; Reunions/Gatherings - just
check the boards when you arrive. And, rest up.  Sleep as much as you can in
advance so you have the energy to make it through!  - diane

- CALLING ALL FLORIDIANS: BRAINSTORM ABOUT 2009 ORLANDO CONFERENCE

I invite anyone from Florida or the Southeast region who will be in San
Francisco to join me for a Sack Lunch on Saturday July 5 from 11:30-12:30 in
Continental 1. 

That means bring a sandwich and drink and we'll brainstorm about the 13th
Annual Smart Marriages Conference while we eat. In case you missed the
announcement, the conference dates are July 6-12, 2009 at the stupendous
Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando.

Planning for 2009 starts the minute the San Francisco conference ends, so
come prepared with ideas.

- THE ARMY WILL THRIVE

One of the most exciting new tools being presented at the San Francisco
conference is the new THRIVE inventory. And, it appears that the ARMY
agrees! The Chief of Chaplain's Office has just contracted to use the new,
online inventory in a pilot project with married soldiers returning from
