It appears I was misled!  I've been corrected and the new info is now on the
website. But it's too late to change it in the badge mailing letters which
tell everyone to walk down Market street and watch the fireworks at the
Ferry Building. WRONG! I guess the convention bureau person that took me on
my SF tour isn't into fireworks.  Read this and HELP SPREAD THE WORD to
others at the conference. I talked to someone at the hotel today to ask if
we'd able to see the fireworks from Cityscape on the 46th floor and he said
"Not likely - there's usually too much fog." I'm getting curious.  Is it
really that cold?  Really that foggy? I was told the same thing about Mt
Denali/McKinley in Alaska - that I'd never see the mountain because it's
ALWAYS fogged in. The day I was there, there was no fog, just beautiful
clear sunshine. So, guess it depends. - diane

Fireworks at 9:30 pm.
Experience the Fourth of July at Fisherman's Wharf. Aquatic Park stage
(Jefferson & Hyde) showcases an afternoon of family entertainment. Great
food, live music, kids' activities and family fun leading up to an amazing
fireworks display.

Location: All along the waterfront, the Cannery, Ghirardelli Square and PIER
39. Fireworks launch from the foot of Municipal Pier and barges to the north
of PIER 39.

Diane, You'll note, this is NOT the Ferry building as you recommended
earlier, and in fact, if you ask a native San Franciscan, they will tell you
the Ferry Building, though a great place for food, is definitely not the
best place to view fireworks.  Try Fort Mason, or anywhere near the wharf,
any of the areas noted above.

I know you know can't please all the people all the time but I think you
should be proud as can be that you convinced Sue Johnson to present a
keynote at Smart Marriages.  I'll be standing in her book signing line with

I've had a dozen questions about the Bonus Film Screenings today which must
mean the badges must have started to arrive in your mail boxes. As it says
in the badge mailing letter, the film schedule will be posted at the
conference, but since so many of you say you want to be able to plan your

They're mailing in batches.....some have yet to be mailed, some were mailed
Monday.  All from Minnesota.  IF you don't get a badge in the mail, do not
fret, just pick it up onsite.  AND, anticipating the next question, this
does not mean it's too late to register.  You can still register, still get
into all the sessions. Online registration is active until the 25th, after

rates some of you are getting this late in the game give all the gloom and
