- SUPPORTING RESEARCH
> Diane - Thanks for using the listserv to assist students with their surveys
> and to support the research process. I know I speak for many when I thank you.
> It is so important that we keep growing and fine-tuning our knowledge base.
> I'm also trying to help by forwarding these requests to my lists.

Yes, students are desperate as their deadlines approach! All I can do is
send the requests to the lists - the rest depends on the goodness of the
hearts of the BUSY people on the list who make the time to take the surveys
or forward them to subjects that fit the criteria. - diane

Studies Show It's Often Cheaper To Let People Get Sick
An ounce of prevention may have been worth a pound of cure in households
down through the ages, but in the world of health economics the adage, alas,
is not true.

This article makes it all the more clear WHY we need to make sure our
marriage education programs stay affordable why we must work diligently to
put our programs "in a box", on the internet, keep them mentor and
lay-educator delivered, and why we must continue to strive for
cost-effective streamlining, distribution and accessibility. And, why we
MUST track effectiveness. We must keep our ounce of prevention less
expensive than an ounce of cure. We know this stuff works and we know the
heavy costs of divorce and family breakdown but it's up to us to keep making
the case. Demonstrating what we know. I encourage you to read this article
and keep it in mind as you make your session selections for the San
Francisco conference - sessions like REWIRING PREMARITAL PREPARATION to use
the tools of the 21st century. You might want to mark your calendar to
attend the Evaluation Talkabout on Fri at 4:30pm. And, you might want to
make sure you take the web optimizing class offered by Elizabeth Thomas. And
so on....;) - diane
