- FRIENDS LET FRIENDS KNOW ­ IN ADVANCE!

Hope you'll help to let those in your state know about the conference IN
ADVANCE.  It's so sad when I get calls AFTER the conference asking when
we'll be back to Denver and I have to tell them "Maybe never, but certainly
not for five years."  They see "annual conference" and assume it's annually
in Denver!  Some almost cry when they realize they've missed it. Some get
angry - why didn't you advertise this?!  So, please help.

It's good to alert professional colleagues/clergy to the fact that 200 TOP
presenters are in town - the nation's marriage experts, and that they can
train and certify in the pre and post institutes, and that they can earn up
to 69 hrs CE.  

Good to alert non-professionals that the entire conference is open to the
public, even the training institutes.  And, that the Sunday afternoon
seminars are only $15 per person.  And, that there is a free School/Youth
Institute Thurs June 28, 8:30am-5:30pm. Attend all or part of it, no
registrations necessary and check out several curricula for teaching
marriage education in schools/youth groups.  And, that they can browse the
exhibits for free - no registration required.

Good to help me connect to radio, tv, print journalists. It's almost ALWAYS
through a personal contact that we make our good media hits.  Certainly some
of you know some journalists that need to know this show is coming to town.
Send me any contacts or call them yourself.  We can offer promotional
give-aways which are great for radio/tv stations - "win tickets to the
Sunday Seminars like "7 Habits of Successful Families", "Why Talking Is Not
Enough", "The Art of Couples Play", "Relationship Repair", "PAIRS: Skills
for Couples" .... 

Or let them know they can see Tony Robbins AND John Gray live and in-person
on one day teaching the latest on having a really great marriage.  Sat June
30th. 

I can still ship brochures - 10 or hundreds. Tell me how many you can
distribute at your workplace, church, gym.

Smart Marriages / Happy Families
 
Vernetta is a past chair and was our wonderful speaker at last year¹s PIN
brunch.  She wanted us to know about the upcoming Smart Marriages Happy
Families annual conference.  It will be held in Denver from June 28 to July
1, 2007 plus pre and post training institutes.  Vernetta promised that there
will  truly be something for everyone.  A sampling of 90-minute workshops
and seminars include:  The #1 Key to Incredible Sex, Win Your Wife¹s Heart
Forever, 7 Habits of Successful Families, Marital Sex As It Ought to Be, The
Art of Couples Play, Why Talking Is Not Enough:  8 Loving Actions, and The
Spiritual Dimensions of Marriage..
 
Instead of traditional therapy for struggling marriages and families ­ help
that is too often too little and too late ­ this approach builds and
sustains happy, healthy marriages and families through educational programs.
Based on research that has identified what makes marriage work, these
programs teach couples what they need to know to achieve success.
 
Even if you aren¹t interested in learning to teach the courses,  you can
attend to learn the latest skills to strengthen your own marriage or
relationship.  The public is encouraged to attend the full conference and
the training institutes, the special Sunday afternoon seminars, and to
browse the 100+ exhibits. The actual conference begins on Thursday at 6:30
p.m. and ends on Sunday at 4:30 p.m. and includes 8 plenaries, 6 workshops
and 1 seminar.  The cost is $355 (if received by May 11) or $405 (after May
11).  The daily rate is $185 per day.
 
These skills can strengthen relationships at any stage ­ from dating to the
empty nest.  And, this isn¹t just for the married ­ singles make up a large
part of the audience.  Some of the top name speakers include John Gray, PhD
(Mars & Venus Collide:  Winning the New Year of the Sexes); Anthony Robbins
(Ultimate Relationships), John and Jane Covey (8 Habits of Successful
Marriages); and Bill Doherty PhD with his daughter Elizabeth Thomas (The
First Dance).  Doherty is also a past PIN brunch speaker.
 
On Monday, July 2nd, WAIT (³Why Am I Tempted?² Training will be taught by
Shelly Donahue.  Experiential curriculum captivates, entertains, and teaches
teens the physical, intellectual, emotional, social, spiritual, and
financial importance of learning how to love well and wait until marriage to
have sex. (COST:  $185 ­ without Full Conference)
 
Vernetta also noted that there will be several free admission institutes on
Thursday, June 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
