As I said at the conference, the very best thing you can do for me is go
on-line and write an evaluation.  If you prefer, you can just send me your
ideas and suggestions via email sent directly to me at

- WHERE CAN I MAIL MY CONFERENCE EVALUATION?

OOOPS, I had three emails today asking about where to mail the conference
evaluation.  We have a new process this year - all evaluations are done
on-line. You don't mail anything.  The form in your on-site conference
packet was just a *notes* sheet to give you a place to jot down notes to
help jog your memory when you went to the on-line form. Complete your
evaluation on-line and then print your Continuing Education (CE) form.  All
free. All quick.  All pretty easy........(see below).

I apologize for the frustration some of you experienced when you tried to
complete your evaluation.  I knew we'd face some challenges as we switched
to this on-line process, but sorry that you have to be the guinea pigs!
Here, I hope, are some helpful hints. Let me know if you still have
problems. - diane  

HELPFUL HINTS:   

1)  On the opening page, BE SURE you click/select/indicate all the sessions
you attended BEFORE you click the *I Agree* button at the bottom of the
page.  IF you write comments and then remember that you need to go back and
add one more session, you have to go back to the first page and start again
and when you again click the *I Agree* button, ALL YOUR COMMENTS -
EVERYTHING YOU HAVE WRITTEN  WILL BE ERASED. Auuuugh!!!

You CAN scroll back and edit your comments, you just can't add new sessions
AFTER you hit the *I Agree* button. So, be sure you look over the brochure
and make a list of all that you attended BEFORE you begin.  You can download
a brochure to help guide you on the evaluation form page.

2) YOU ARE required to write comments for every session selected. The form
will not allow you to simply enter a score, you must write comments.

3) This is your opportunity to give valuable feedback to the presenters.
Presenters will receive all their comments.  Presenters will receive only
their own comments and scores, not those of their colleagues.  Your comments
will be anonymous - no names attached.

4) It would be helpful to presenters if you explain a bit about who you are
- to put your comments in context.  Examples: *This was my 8th Smart
Marriages conference and this was the best model I've heard in 8 years.* Or,
*This was my 8th conference and this might have been a good intro session
for someone new to the conference but to me it was nothing new.*  Or,  *This
is a perfect program to use in my setting with refugee couples.*  Etc...

5) Diane Sollee is the only one who will read your general conference
comments (what you liked best and why, what was your least favorite aspect
and why, your suggestions for San Francisco, etc.)

6) It takes time.  Do this when you have time as you can't quit in mid
stream and go back to it.

7) The sooner the better.  Memories are fading fast..... With so much energy
already focused on *next year*.
