- INVITATION: DOES THE MEDIA GET IT RIGHT ON FATHERHOOD/DEC 6

At 1:30pm, Wednesday, December 6, 2006, the National Fatherhood Initiative
will release "Pop's Culture: A National Survey on Dads' Attitudes on
Fathering" at the National Press Club in Washington, DC.  Members of the
media, will discuss the survey and the question, "Does the Media Get it
Right on Fatherhood"?

Up for discussion and debate are questions such as:

Does the media consider the "father factor" in the stories it covers on
crime, poverty, school failure?
Is work/family balance still considered a women's issue?
Do stories on public policy consider the implications of policy on the
institution of fatherhood?
Is entertainment media for men constructive or destructive towards
fatherhood?
