URGENT - NEW Stoica Grant Tele-Workshops scheduled - Wed through Fri nights -5/06

Dear Diane,

In addition to the "Overview" marriage-related Grants Opportunity Workshop I
conducted last night and will repeat tonight, I have decided to schedule a
series of three additional trainings over the next three nights  each one
focusing on a different one of the three "most popular"
currently-outstanding marriage-related grants.  Here is the schedule:

Day and Time: Wednesday, May 24th  8pm to 9:30pm EST
Topic: Compassion Capital Fund Targeted Capacity Building Grant
Opportunity: There are 300 1-year $50,000 capacity-building awards
available, across four priority areas; marriage is one of those four
priority areas.

Day and Time: Thursday, May 25th  8pm to 9:30pm EST
Topic: Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant
Opportunity:  There are 135 5-year awards available, ranging in size from
$250,000 to over $1 million, with a total of $75 million per year
available..
The bulk of these awards are at the $500,000 per year level.

Day and Time: Friday, May 26th  8pm to 9:30pm EST
Topic: Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Grant
Opportunity:  There are 89 5-year awards available, ranging in size from
$250,000 to $1 million per year, with a total of $32 million; marriage is
one of three authorized activity areas.  The bulk of these awards are at the
$250,000 per year level.

People can register for each of the above briefings by sending an email with
the following REQUIRED information to Registration at CaliforniaMarriages.org.
The information which needs to be included in the emails is:

- In the Subject Line, specify the DATE of the workshop you are signing up
for;

- Name of your organization

- City and State of your organization

- Name and Title of the person (or people) who will be participating in the
call

- Telephone number you will be using to call in from (this is important!)

- If you are registering for the Healthy Marriage Demonstration Grant
teleconference training on Thursday night, please specify in your email
which one or two of the eight Priority Areas you are most interested in
applying for - so that I can concentrate more time during the call on those
areas where the most people have interest.

In response to each complete registration request, we will be sending out
the appropriate call-in information for that particular training, along with
a "special version" of the RFP which we will be going through each night.
(Note  the main thing "special" about the version of the RFPs we will be
sending you is that they will have page numbers at the bottom, so that we
will all be able to "be on the same page" during the callŠ..the lack of page
numbers on the RFPs which get downloaded from the ACF website make these
kind of teleconference calls quite difficult otherwise!)

Re. Pre-Submitted Questions:  In order to make these workshops as relevant
as possible to the questions and concerns people actually have, we are
providing an opportunity for participants to submit their marriage
grant-related questions in advance to the following email address:
MayGrantQuestions at gmail.com .  When submitting a question, please indicate
which grant opportunity it is directed at.  During the workshops we will try
to answer as many of these questions as possible.
