Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Funding Opportunity
Pre-Application Conference

On May 24th the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) released the
Promoting Responsible Fatherhood funding opportunity notice to announce the
availability of competitive grants for States, Territories, Indian Tribes,
and Public and Non-Profit Community Entities to develop and implement
projects that promote the objectives of the ACF Fatherhood Initiative. Key
authorized activities include: Healthy Marriage Services, Responsible
Parenting and Economic Stability for fathers.

To assist interested organizations with application preparation, on
Thursday, June 8th at 3:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, ACF will present a
two-hour pre-application conference call to provide technical assistance on
the Promoting Responsible Fatherhood Grant Program Announcement
HHS-2006-ACF-FR-0130.

This conference call will provide an overview of the Responsible Fatherhood
Initiative, information on how to apply, a brief discussion of general
program requirements and a forum for questions and answers. The conference
call format will be presentation style followed by a Q & A session.
Participants should have a copy of the program announcement with them when
accessing the call and, if possible, read the full announcement before June
8th.

Please use the following instructions to access the call:


*       Dial the toll free access number (866) 818-1395. If you experience
technical difficulties during the call, dial *10* for support. You will be
connected to a help desk that will assist you. Additional help is available
by calling (800) 305-5208.


*       If you will be using a cordless phone for the conference call, try
to fully charge your phone battery in advance of the call.


*       Try to conduct the call in a quiet area in order to make the call as
efficient as possible.


*       Please demonstrate proper phone etiquette and be courteous of others
throughout the duration of the call.


*       To mute/un-mute your phone (listen only), press *6*.
