- TIRED OF THE COMMERCIAL VALENTINE'S DAY TREADMILL?

KEEP IT REAL at an IMAGO Relationships event!

What if Valentine¹s Day were a celebration of connection and intimacy,
instead of just a strain on the wallet? This year, it will be, when
thousands of couples in cities around the world forget the flowers, resist
the chocolates, and avoid the restaurant crowds in favor of coming together
through Imago Relationships in a move to Keep it Real. On Tues, Feb 14, from
6:30 - 8pm, couples will able to choose from hundreds of Keep It Real events
held internationally.

Laughter and Loving
At these Keep it Real events, couples will have the opportunity to spend a
few fun-filled hours practicing Imago relationship-building exercises in a
relaxed and welcoming environment. Participants will be taught to use
communication tools that are not only fun, but also designed to stimulate a
greater appetite for real intimacy.

Imago, the brainchild of the best-selling husband and wife team of Harville
Hendrix, PhD, and Helen LaKelly Hunt, PhD, is a unique approach to
relationship education that helps committed partners deepen their sense of
connection and strengthen their relationships.

Oprah and Alanis are Imago fans
Relationship expert Harville Hendrix is well-known for his regular
appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show. Hendrix and his wife and co-author,
LaKelly Hunt have reached millions of couples worldwide through a string of
best sellers on loving relationships. To date, more than 60,000 couples
have benefited first-hand from Imago workshops, and countless others from
individual therapy with Imago-trained therapists. Hendrix¹s first book,
³Getting the Love You Want,² is considered a classic of the genre, and has
appeared on The New York Times best-seller list since it came out in 1988.
This year, Oprah Winfrey named Hendrix¹s first appearance on her show among
her ³Top 20 Moments² from the show¹s entire 20-year history.

In the October 2005 issue of ³O² Magazine, Oprah discussed the impact of
that particular show on her: ³I saw relationships not solely as the kind of
romantic pursuit our society celebrates but as a spiritual partnership
that's meant to change how you see yourself and the world.²

Singer Alanis Morissette first experienced Imago more than 15 years ago, and
was so impressed that she later trained as an Imago educator. ³I have found
that when my relationships work, everything else in my life works,²
Morissette said in a recently-recorded Public Service Announcement that
expressed her support and confidence in the Imago process.

A new kind of Valentine¹s Day
Keep it Real is open to all. Couples who have already benefited from Imago¹s
tools are encouraged to invite their friends to these events, which will be
held in more than 50 cities worldwide. Harville Hendrix and Helen LaKelly
Hunt will participate in one of these global events.

Support for Keep it Real comes from Tango, a recently-launched magazine
focused on the central role of love and relationships in our everyday lives
and culture. ³We¹re thrilled to provide couples a more meaningful
Valentine¹s Day experience than the usual flowers and candy routine,² said
Andrea Miller, founder and president of Tango. ³Imago therapy and Tango are
parallel tracks to the same end: more meaningful and rewarding
relationships.²

((I checked the listings and they seem to range free to very affordable.
Most expensive I saw listed was $35 a couple and I didn't call to check, but
it looked like it included dinner?! If you're lucky enough to be near an
event, do attend. It will be a Valentine's Day filled with meaning. RSVP
today. - diane))
