Mike and Harriet McManus Marriage Savers schedule for winter and spring,
2002:  

Readers are invited to attend any of the following events. However,
scheduled events are subject to change. Please call the contact person
listed below for fresh information on place, time and event.

Jan. 19, 2001: Washington DC: Mike and Harriet will train couples in
marriage preparation at their own church, Fourth Presbyterian, from 9 a.m.
till 4 p.m. Another church is sending coupes to be trained as well. Call

Jan. 25-26, Pipestone, MN: Midwest Regional Director, Larry Ballard will
hold a Mentor couple training at Pipestone Christian Reformed Church:

Feb. 7, Wisconsin Rapids, WI: Larry Ballard will speak to the Cranberry
Country Ministerial Association, giving an overview of Community Marriage
Policy and Marriage Savers Congregations.  For information, call Steve
Dietzler, 715 423-2840.

Feb. 8-9, Detroit: Larry Ballard and LeRoy Sullivan will train ten inner
city churches to be Marriage Saver Congregations. Call Larry Ballard, 715

Feb. 13: Winona, MN: Larry Ballard will make a presentation on Marriage
Savers to the clergy of Winona, MN.  For information, call Larry 715
834-5914 . Feb. 14: Palatka, FL clergy will sign a Community Marriage
Policy, with Southern Regional Director Del Palmer.  He will then train
clergy and Mentor Couples Friday night and all day Saturday. Call Del for

Feb. 22-23, Dyer, IN: Larry Ballard will speak at a signing of a Community
Marriage Policyand will then train pastors and Mentor Couples on Friday
night and all day Saturday. Call Susan Zencka, 219 865-8660

March 29-30, 2002: Lynchburg, VA: Mike & Harriet McManus will participate in
a signing of the Lynchburg Community Marriage Policy. They will train Mentor
Coupls and pastors in the five stages of intervention: premarital,
enrichment, troubled marriages, reconciling the separated and stepfamilies.

March 15-16: Spooner, WI: Larry Ballard will be training couples whose
marriages once nearly failed in Marriage Ministry, to help couples in
crisis. Call Lori Lorentz: 715 296-2422

March 23: Kona, Hawaii, Larry Ballard will train Mentor Couples to do
marriage preparation, using the FOCCUS in our first Hawaii training.  Call
Hawaii Marriage Savers Chair Rev. Heintz Schoenhoff 808 326-7228.

April 19-20: Madison, WI clergy will sign a Community Marriage Policy with
Mike & Harriet McManus and Larry Ballard as speakers.  They will train
Marriage Mentors in how to create a Marriage Savers Congregation with Larry
Ballard.

April 19-20: Reston, LA clergy will sign a Community Marriage Policy with
Del Palmer as speaker.  He will train pastors and Mentor Couples in the five
interventions offered by Marriage Saver Congregations Friday night and all

April 26-27, 2002: Kokomo, IN:  Midwest Regional Director Larry Ballard will
hold a Mentor Couple training in every stage of the marital life cycle.

July 10-11, Arlington, VA: National Training to Create a Marriage Savers
Congregation will be held on the Wednesday and Thursday as a pre-conference
institute of the next Smart Marriages Conference.  For more information, go
