GOOD MORNING AMERICA SERIES TO FEATURE
CHATTANOOGA MARRIAGE AND DIVORCE INITIATIVES!!!

Chattanooga, TN  Chattanooga¹s community-wide efforts to strengthen 
marriage, reduce divorce, and decrease the impact of divorce on children 
will be featured during a week-long series on ABC¹s Good Morning America. 
 The segments currently are scheduled to air the week of March 6, 2000.

GMA spent three days in Hamilton County recently taping a series of 
interviews with local people and learning about community initiatives to 
strengthen marriage and to help families and children cope with divorce.

The divorce rate in Hamilton County has decreased 17 percent in two years 
and there has been a dynamic increase in the availability and utilization 
of programs to strengthen marriages.

The tentative program lineup is:
Monday, March 6:	The high cost of divorce and its effect on families and 
our nation.
Tuesday, March 7:	The Chattanooga story  how one community is mobilizing 
to combat divorce and strengthen marriages.
Wednesday, March 8:	Second marriages, stepfamilies, and the dynamics that 
accompany both.
Thursday, March 9:	Settling a divorce
Friday, March 10:	Predicting which marriages may end in divorce.

Because of still another shooting, the Minnesota Covenant Marriage piece 
has again been delayed. It is now "scheduled" to air on Monday on the CBS 
Morning Show....featuring Minnesota Sen Dille, Katherine Spaht & Steve 
Nock.
