Attached is a list of training resources based on information from a SAMHSA Center for Mental Health Services, National Center for Trauma Informed Care<http://www.samhsa.gov/nctic/> report provided by Cheryl Sharp, the National Council's Special Advisor for Trauma-Informed Services (cheryls at thenationalcouncil.org). I've also pasted her response to an email I sent to her inquiring about the definition of TRM. Feel free to contact her directly if you need further information and resources related to Trauma Informed Care.
"There are many different trauma models that are available for use by practitioners. Some require extensive training and supervision, others are more easily adaptable to a variety of settings and skill levels. We encourage organizations to look at their population to determine what model or approach to use. While trauma-focused or trauma-specific therapies are important and a key component in becoming a trauma-informed care organization, more importantly is the culture of the organization. Without a trauma-informed cultural environment, all of the trauma-specific treatment in the world can be undone by the environment it is being offered. We encourage all organizations, whether primary care or behavioral healthcare to work together to provide the most trauma sensitive and informed care possible. "
