Hi Kevin,
It's great that you have an interest in having someone in your organization attend. The training is open for anyone. While the content is geared toward physicians, it will likely lend insight toward the planning of workflow in software design.
Thanks,
Cheryl

Cheryl,

Could someone from my organization attend? This would help us as we design the workflow into the software.

Thanks

Workforce factors pose barriers to the integration of behavioral health and primary care service delivery. One of these barriers is the accessibility, relevance, and effectiveness of training. I would like to invite all of you to share announcements of upcoming training opportunities in healthcare integration via this Listserve as we work together to overcome obstacles to healthcare integration.

This training opportunity announcement was provided by Dr. Lori Raney:

List serve members: Please pass this message along to Medical Staff members who may be interested in attending this training.
The American Psychiatric Association will feature a course in Integrated Care for psychiatrists and other medical staff members at the Institute of Psychiatric Services meeting being held in San Francisco Oct 27 - 30, 2011. The course titled: Integrating Behavioral Health and Primary Care: Practical Skills for the Consultant Psychiatrist will be offered on Saturday, Oct 29th from 8 am to noon at the San Francisco Marriott Marquis. Drs. Jurgen Unutzer, Lori Raney, John Kern and Anna Ratzliff will present a curriculum designed to assist medical staff members who wish to work in collaborative settings with primary care. This educational opportunity will prepare attendees for functioning along the collaboration continuum, which includes addressing mental health issues in primary care and co-morbid medical problems in mental health settings.
