The University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dept of Family Medicine
and Community Health, is expanding its post-doctoral fellowship in
Clinical Health Psychology in Primary Care and is currently accepting
applications for two new positions in our recently APA accredited
post-doctoral fellowship. The positions are open for immediate hire and
will remain open until filled by excellent candidates. Additional
details on the program, eligibility requirements, and application
instructions can be found on our website:
93428).
All information (other than the application due date and start date)
remains applicable to these new positions. We are seeking applicants who
have experience in primary care settings and want to further their
clinical competencies while teaching medical residents. The fellowship
is two calendar years and provides the requisite number of supervised
hours for licensure in any state. Although research opportunities
exist, this is a clinical fellowship designed to prepare our graduates
for positions in family medicine departments. Each fellow will have a
primary placement in one of the department's many health centers in and
around Worcester, MA. The two primary placements include Barre Family
Health Center
(http://www.umassmed.edu/Content.aspx?id=76900&linkidentifier=id&itemid=
76900)
or Fitchburg Family Health Center
(http://www.umassmed.edu/fmch/residency/fitchburg.aspx?linkidentifier=id
&itemid=76416). The overall program is the same and fellows will still
spend a fair amount of time in Worcester; however, the location of their
health center practice will be at one of these two locations. Please
review these links thoroughly and indicate in your cover letter for
which location you have a preference.
Review of applications is currently underway so interested applicants
are encouraged to submit a cover letter and their CV immediately; three
letters of recommendation, preferably sent electronically to
amy.green at umassmed.edu, can follow at a later date. Completion of an APA
or APPIC accredited doctoral program and pre-doctoral internship is
required. An Affirmative Action/Equal Opportunity Employer. Minorities
and women are strongly encouraged to apply.
