sufficiently investigated."

As we await the results of these investigations I believe it is
premature to state as fact that Integration is Good For All and
Co-location is Bad For All.  It seems unlikely that the evidence will
offer up such a clean explination.  While we wait for these results a
financially sustainable co-located model may be the best that can be
done in some settings.
