Hi Ruth. I just returned from the manditory FQHC meeting in Washington. There were two workshops on integrating bh and primary care. Reimbursement depends on multiple factors. First, there is the two service rule. If your state allows two services on the same day, you are in luck. Ours doesn't at this time. The warm handoff method is the best in primary care so reimbursement is contingent on state medicaid rules. Also, at this point, psychiatrists, psychologists and social workers are the only licensed people on the approved provider list. Some states with 51% or more medicaid pts. make enough to cover other discliplines. Hope this helps. Michael McGlathery,PhD,MFT Solano County, California

Subject: [PC-BH-Integration] Need information
We are looking to integrate our Rural Health Clinic and our Behavioral
Health Clinic and would like any information that would assist us in this
endeavor. Is it working for you? What about reimbursement? HOw has staff
responded?
We are on site with a CAH and this seems like a good way to provide services
that our community needs.
