In response to Ed Hodges [excision] here are several dozen Associated
Press photographs of the Qana massacre which belie the simplifications
and obfuscations being blown:

Staged photos and planted news reports are conventional propaganda
during conflict and peace. Both sides are doing it in the Lebanon
assault, with reporters and photographers working the scenes
as arranged by the parties at sites of destruction, carnage, hospitals,
medevacs, artillery sites, air bases, tank assembly points, hits of
rockets. Few newspersons could get, or want to get, to these highlighted
locations without assistance of the publicity-adept sponsors.
