James Cowley could try the UK official MI5 website where the question of
state-sponsored violence is addressed/evaded depending on one's take on
these issues. He might also attempt to set up a dialogue with 5 about his
area of interest.
The Dept. of Peace Studies, University of Bradford, UK could be a useful
source of information re. conflict resolution + intelligence agencies.
I suspect he might have difficulty obtaining the specific evidence he seeks.
An advert in the national newspapers might generate some interesting
responses!
