Re: Intelligence Training (Mike Yared)
I know of a number of CIA recruitees, who were picked up after the Vietnam
conflict...combat soldiers with exceptional intelligence, who began CI work on
US bases of foreign wives from "nonfriendly" countries who had married American
service men. It was worrisome that such foreign nationals were sending
information about US bases to hostile foreign governments. After a
period of time,
the Agency recruits were cleaned up, taught manners, taught how to dress, and
sent to university training. Then they were sent to the CIA's "finishing"
school. One in particular was sent to Europe as a "Raven" to seduce the homely
secretaries working in foreign embassies for inside intel (The KGB
also had their
counterparts in the USA). With "feral" instincts, a high sex drive, street
smarts, trade craft, and a college education, including frequently a master's
degree....these operatives were excellent at what they were able to
do. So, Mike
the Agency is not as inflexible as you might think. Granted, the Agency never
had as many of these "Valentine" Ops as the KGB, but we did have them. I
could give more details regarding the "demise" of this particular
operator, but it
would compromise him.
