What Hayden said was that bin Laden has better access to technology,
because bin Laden
can go out
and buy the best and latest, while NSA has to go through the dysfunctional
system which guarantees
that the latest technology in the Market will have been created, developed,
destroyed and created again before NSA can get the old stuff bought.
Hayden was on
the week-day 60 Minutes tonight lobbying for more money. NSA doesn't need
it needs to get its Cold War mission into the 21st Century, downscoped
and fitted into the real life threats to the survival of the Republic.
