Ralph Erskine:Thanks to your input I was able to cease the chasing of German
research "titled" Abwehr. Materials (Dutch) concerning the intercept of
radio traffic between Churchill & Roosevelt in early WW2 became the research
point of departure. Dutch intercept locations were use with coorp. of Dutch
Post. Then directions to Deutsche Reichspost lead me to Dutch author who
directed me to Walter Schellenberg: Memoiren, Verlag fuer Politik un
Wirtschaft (1959) Schellenberg's memoirs covers the cable taps and gives
direct credit (by name) to those who conducted the operation. Well into the
post-post WW2 period Schellenberg work was thought to be invalid. Only when
the US National Arch's started work, early 70's, on "German Staff matters"
were the fact[s] fully appreciated.
