Ralph Erskine:Thanks to your input I was able to cease the chasing of German
research "titled" Abwehr. Materials (Dutch) concerning the intercept of
radio traffic between Churchill & Roosevelt in early WW2 became the research
point of departure. Dutch intercept locations were use with coorp. of Dutch
Post. Then directions to Deutsche Reichspost lead me to Dutch author who
directed me to Walter Schellenberg: Memoiren, Verlag fuer Politik un
Wirtschaft (1959) Schellenberg's memoirs covers the cable taps and gives
direct credit (by name) to those who conducted the operation. Well into the
post-post WW2 period Schellenberg work was thought to be invalid. Only when
the US National Arch's started work, early 70's, on "German Staff matters"
were the fact[s] fully appreciated.
