What difference does "official" confirmation of some American government
action of any kind make? Are there suitcase nukes hidden in the United States
today? Frankly I do not know, but there was a gut wrenching article in
today's Boston Globe magazine that flat out says that there probably are such
nukes possessed by terrorists. And worse that such terror means we are headed
into a society that is rapidly changing into a major police state with cops
bursting into any home that somebody deems suspicious. So I would say that at
some point there must be official confirmation of events, current and
historic. That or American society will muddle through whatever the Beltway
mob sees fit to tell them. And that is a very scarey thought. Is this intel
related? It sure seems to me it is at the nub of the current rush to secrecy
so favored by President Bush and his men.
